New Milestones for magniX in NASA EPFD Program

magniX this week celebrated two key milestones in NASA’s Electric Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) program. The magniX team delivered a magni650 electric propulsion unit (EPU) to the NASA Electric Aircraft Testbed (NEAT) facility in Sandusky, Ohio to undergo rigorous testing. The NEAT facility can simulate altitudes of up to 25,000 feet – the only facility in the world able to do so. Also this week, the Air Tindi De Havilland Dash 7 plane that will be retrofitted with magni650 engines as part of the EPFD program arrived in Moses Lake, Washington. Test flights are planned to begin in 2025.
